For $10 a week, students can stay until 5:15 pm after school and participate in up to two clubs a day from a list of more than 40 various clubs. These include sports, art & music programs, scouts, dance, cooking, languages, homework, and many other clubs.

The YSCP’s current school building was built in 2007 and has had three expansions. Located on nine acres, the school is at 1530 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA., at the corner of Blue Course Road. and Westerly Parkway. The building is comprised of 27 classrooms for grades kindergarten through eighth grades. The school composed of four wings which are K-1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade, 4th-5th grade, and 6th-8th grade. Other areas include a library, robotics club room, offices, conference room, staff lounge, kitchen, and a large multi-purpose room used for physical education and lunch.
The school grounds include a playground and soccer field, along with a large wetlands area that is often explored by students and teachers as part of the science curriculum.

Inclusion of all students is how we unleash the power of diversity. At YSCP we strive to foster belonging and empowerment for all. We aim to develop an understanding and awareness of one another's differences and embrace cultural diversities. YSCP provides students and families opportunities to showcase their cultural heritage through International Mother Language Day. YSCP encourages the schoolwide participation in Make Your Mark activities where "ability" awareness is taught and differences and needs are celebrated. This unique, student-centered, and family oriented school welcomes all to join the YSCP team on this journey of learning.
